About the Advisory Council

The G-Woman Advisory Council exists to provide strategic counsel, thought leadership, and global perspective in support of G-Woman Media’s mission. It represents a visionary bridge between the IV League Partners and the Executive Leadership of G-Woman Media to strengthen the connection between investors and leadership, ensuring transparency, inclusion, and collaboration.Constituted from the company’s circle of seed investors, the Council is composed of women who are not only partners but also strategic thought leaders committed to shaping the future of a women-led media ecosystem.This Council serves as a strategic think tank, and guiding compass, providing insight, foresight, and stewardship to ensure that G-Woman Media remains aligned with its founding mission: to amplify women’s voices and visibility worldwide through ownership, storytelling, community and creative innovation.


Purpose and Mandate

The G-Woman Advisory Council serves as a strategic advisory body to the Board of Directors and Executive Team. Its purpose is threefold:

  • Strategic Guidance – Offer independent advice and informed perspectives on G-Woman’s direction, innovation opportunities, and strategic priorities across media, community, and collaborations.

  • Network Amplification – Leverage members’ influence, expertise, and connections to advance partnerships, collaborations, and visibility for the G-Woman brand.

  • Mission Alignment – Uphold the company’s founding values of empowerment, equity, and creative freedom—ensuring every initiative reflects the ethos of “For the Global Woman; Gifted. Genius. Gamechanger.”

The Council’s mandate is advisory, not fiduciary—it does not exercise governance authority but provides invaluable recommendations to strengthen policy, programming, and impact.


Structure and Composition

The G-Woman Advisory Council is a diverse body of 15 appointed members, representing each core platform and region within the G-Woman Media ecosystem. Appointments are by nomination and selection of IV League Partners who have merited and demonstrated outstanding leadership, engagement, and alignment with G-Woman’s vision.

  • Chairperson (1 seat): Provides overall leadership, moderates sessions, and liaises directly with the President and Board Chair.

  • Vice Chair (1 seat): Supports the Chair and oversees subcommittee coordination.

  • Platform Representatives (5 seats): One for each G-Woman Media platform—Magazine, Radio, TV, Collective, and Events (Summit & Awards).

  • Regional Representatives (4 seats): Drawn from the four global regions—Africa, Americas, Europe, and Middle East & Asia—to ensure geographical inclusivity and perspective.

  • At-Large Members (4 seats): Selected for their distinguished professional expertise or influence in media, business, policy, technology, and leadership.


Roles and Responsibilities

Members of the G-Woman Advisory Council are entrusted to.

  • Participate in quarterly advisory sessions and annual retreats.

  • Contribute strategic insights and recommendations to enhance organizational development and sustainability.

  • Champion G-Woman Media initiatives within their networks.

  • Uphold confidentiality, integrity, and the G-Woman ethos of collaborative leadership.


Terms of Service

  • Term Length: 2 years, renewable upon review and continued eligibility.

  • Term Commencement: January of each fiscal year following IV League review and nomination approval.

  • Rotation Policy: To ensure diversity of input, one-third of members may rotate annually ahead of board elections.


Meeting Structure

  • Frequency: Quarterly virtual sessions and one in-person or hybrid annual summit.

  • Agenda: Strategic review, program updates, partnership recommendations, and platform alignment.

  • Facilitation: Led by the Chairperson in collaboration with the President & Executive Team.

  • Documentation: Meeting notes and recommendations to be submitted to the Board for consideration.


Reporting Line

The Council reports to the Founder & President of G-Woman Media, and its recommendations are submitted to the Board of Directors for review and potential adoption.


Recognition & Legacy

Members of the G-Woman Advisory Council shall be recognized as “Strategic Advisors” of G-Woman Media and may be featured in company communications, events, and publications for their contributions to the vision of women's influence through media ownership and leadership.
